The Mitsubishi Concept GC-PHEV has a 3.0-liter V6 supercharged MIVEC engine mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It's a next-generation full-size SUV with full-time 4WD. It utilizes a plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV) system with a high-output motor and a high-capacity battery. Its active safety technologies and the advanced "connected car" technology utilize next-generation information systems, including a danger detection system that activates the corresponding safety functions automatically and a self-checking system that informs the driver of any needed repairs

The Mitsubishi Concept XR-PHEV is a next-generation compact SUV developed with driving pleasure as a priority. It is a front engine, front-wheel drive layout PHEV system with a downsized 1.1-liter direct-injection turbocharged MIVEC engine and a lightweight, compact and high-efficiency motor with a high-capacity battery. Its active safety technologies and the advanced "connected car" technology utilize next-generation information systems.

The Mitsubishi Concept AR is a next-generation compact Multi-Purpose Vehicle which combines crossover maneuverability with MPV roominess. It includes a downsized 1.1-liter direct-injection turbocharged MIVEC engine and a lightweight mild hybrid system.



Mitsubishi MiEV Evolution II

The MiEV Evolution II features a unique four-motor electric drivetrain (two front/two rear), a tube-frame chassis, the Mitsubishi Motors Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive technology, and completely new aerodynamically-enhanced carbon-fiber bodywork and state-of-the-art high-capacity lithium-ion batteries.


It was built for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. This is an iconic classic event in the US, featuring a climb of 4,720 feet with unique temperature, air pressure, weather and other atmospheric conditions. Feedback and data derived from the i-MiEV Evolution racing prototype was used to develop the unique twin electric motor-based Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) system found on the Outlander PHEV.

The Mitsubishi Concept GR-HEV is a Sport Utility Truck concept that delivers next-generation environmental and driving performance. Its sweeping exterior design looks like a handsome, aerodynamically-efficient next-generation crossover/SUV that is a supplely-contoured yet highly-functional pickup truck.


Ample, efficient power is provided by a diesel-hybrid system that makes use of a 2.5-liter clean-diesel engine and an electric motor/lithium-ion battery Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) system. Included is also Mitsubishi Motors' innovative Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system, accompanied by next-generation Super Select 4WD (SS4WD) that ensures highly responsive torque and tractability on rough roads - or on no roads at all.

Concept PX MiEV

The Mitsubishi PX-MiEV Concept is powered by three power systems, two permanent magnet synchronous electric motor in the front and in back, and the highly efficient MIVEC gasoline engine which can power the front wheels and also serve as a generator.


At slow and moderate speeds (for example, a morning commute in the city), the Mitsubishi Plug-in Hybrid System operates in all-electric EV Mode that offers fun-to-drive power with zero tailpipe emissions. If the road conditions change to snow, electric power is automatically provided to the rear motor, supplementing the front-wheel-drive operation and effectively turning the car into an electric four-wheel-drive vehicle.

The Mitsubishi Concept CA-MiEV is the future of the Mitsubishi i-MiEV.


It expresses the advanced next-generation EV technologies that include magnetic resonance wireless lithium-ion battery recharging. It is powered by a 28 kWh main drive lithium-ion battery pack, in an aerodynamics package that benefits from an exhaustive reduction in body weight that enhances its driving range to approximately 185 miles (300 km).
