K-W In The Community

K-W Mitsubishi Annual Toy Drive in Waterloo, Ontario

The late, great Winston Churchill once said "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." and our team at K-W Mitsubishi couldn't agree more. Everyday we strive to make connections with each person that walks through our doors yet there's so many faces we never see.

Although our business may be selling cars, our responsibility to the community of Waterloo goes much further. As your local Waterloo dealership and as fellow Canadians, it's our belief that during times of need our duty to rise to the occasion and help those less fortunate becomes imperative. Whether it's teaming up with other local business to assist in a communal food drive or donating to the local soup kitchen we always look to put our best foot forward and give back whenever possible.

Extreme poverty is one of the most pressing issues of our age and during the holiday season this becomes more evident then ever. It is the source of much of the world's suffering and makes mere survival a struggle.

Often children who are less fortunate go without some of the simple things that most of us take for granted during the season, and for that reason this year we are partnering with the Family & Children's Services of the Waterloo Region to assist with their Grand Touring Waterloo's Gift & Toy Drive taking place between now and December 12th.

As you can see in the photo, we are off to a healthy start on our gift collection but no number ever enough to suffice all those who are suffering, especially children who deserve to experience the joys of the season. Gifts and toys for newborn babies and children aged 10-15 are the age groups where the need is the greatest.

It should be noted that sometimes families approach the foundation very close to the holidays, after the program has closed and gifts have already been delivered. Help us make sure that no one misses out. Please consider donating grocery or gift cards for those last-minute situations. Gifts as such can bring such a lift to families who may have lost hope for the season.
